Vacancy:        More than five.

Minimum Qualification: i. Any Graduate/ Post-Graduate in Remote Sensing & GIS, Geoinformatics.

  1. Any Post-Graduate of Science/Engineering with specialization in Remote Sensing & GIS.

Experience Required: Well acquainted with RS & GIS Software packages like ArcGIS, ERDAS Imagine, etc.

Desired Qualification:  i. Experience in handling open source Remote Sensing &GIS software packages, like QGIS

ii. Work experience of DEM & DSM generation from Cartosat, Lidar, etc.

iii. Work experience in Urban 3D Modeling.

Age Limit: 35 years. However candidates beyond 35 years of age matching the desired qualification will also be considered.

Tenure: Approx. 1 Year

Remuneration: As per Institute / Industry Standards.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been signed between West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation Ltd. (WEBEL) and Geoinformaics Cell, Department of Civil Engineering, Haldia Institute of Technology (HIT), at Webel Bhawan, Saltlake, Kolkata on 21st June, 2016 in the presence of Mr. Kaushik Halder, Managing Director, WEBEL and Commissioner of Department of Information Technology and Electronics, Govt. of West Bengal; Mr. Nirmal Ray, General Manager (Technical), WEBEL; Prof. Dr. M.N. Bandyopadhyay, Director, HIT; Dr. Anjan Mishra, Registrar, HIT; Dr. Abhisek Santra, Co-ordinator of Geoinformatics Cell, HIT, and Dr. Shreyashi Santra Mitra, Assistant Professor of Remote Sensing, Dept. of Civil Engineering, HIT. The main objective of the MOU is to develop and provide research based Geoinformatics solutions, services & project specific training to various levels of Government administrations.
