COURSE OUTCOME

At the end of this course, the incumbent will be able to:

CO 1: Remembering- Enabling them to solve various problems related to aptitude test (i.e. verbal reasoning etc.) remembering the previous lessons on vocabulary, sentence structures, transformation, linking, and strategic competence.
Application of the imbibed knowledge, enable the students to solve questions on Verbal reasoning and crack the interviews. Moreover, applying the knowledge the students learn to logically discriminate between good and bad, make right selection and solve real life problems in the professional world very deftly with true confidence.

CO2: Understanding- Development of the comprehension ability reading different stories (present in the syllabus) and answering questions from them.
 With the aid of this ability, the learners learn to process text, understand its meaning, and integrate it with what he/she already knows. They can elucidate on the read fact, ideas by organizing, comparing, interpreting, giving descriptions, and stating the main concepts. They learn to grasp and present the crux of the matter through practicing précis writing of the given passages.

CO3: Analyzing- Development of analytical thinking through practice of analytical essays.
Enable the students to explore the reasons behind any phenomenon and accordingly gather facts to establish or refute a hypothesis. Manifest the knowledge developed from the course in various research and project works and analyze how far they would fetch positive results.

CO4: Applying- Enable them through the lessons on theories of communication and business correspondence, to choose the appropriate language and style of communication and handle the situation accordingly either in written or spoken form.
Through the course the student learns how to draw the correct inference after looking into the findings, and keeping them in mind, apply the plan that would work in that situation most fruitfully.

CO5: Evaluating- Present ideas and defend opinions logically justifying the facts or information, validating ideas or quality of work based on a set of criteria and come to a proper decision through active participation in GD (group discussion) sessions.
The students learn how to generate ideas, share thoughts, assimilate important points and make decisions working as team with multidisciplinary professionals. They discuss and throw new light on the latest developments and progress in the fields.

CO6: Creating- Enable thinking differently and come up with innovative ideas and solutions, and apply them for the benefit of the nation as well as the whole world properly manifesting the knowledge gathered through practicing presentation/public skills on various topics.
This fosters self-confidence, clear thinking ability, social awareness and creativity contributing to the field of research and industry. It brings about a sound development of ethics, propriety and respect towards all and sundry promoting sustainable development of the society as a whole.
